High-risk disclosures need stronger protection
Vanish does not request an account, but that is not the same as anonymity. Network metadata, devices, invite delivery, and message contents can identify someone.
Use an established secure channel
For journalism, workplace reporting, or disclosures with legal or personal risk, use a recipient’s established secure tip channel and seek qualified advice. Vanish has not had an independent security audit.
Do not rely on disappearance
A recipient can preserve content and provider logs or backups may outlast a room. An expiring link cannot undo a disclosure.

Do I need an account to create a room?
No. Create a free temporary room in your browser and share its complete secret invite directly.
Can recipients keep copies after expiry?
Yes. Room expiry stops access through Vanish, but it cannot erase screenshots or other copies made by recipients.
