VANISH PRIVATE CHAT GUIDE
Chat between browsers, no account needed
Open a Vanish room in one browser and send the invite to another device. Both sides can exchange messages until the deadline.
How delivery actually works
Each browser encrypts messages locally. The service relays and temporarily stores ciphertext, so this is server-mediated chat rather than a direct peer-to-peer connection.
Connection limits
A live connection usually delivers messages promptly. Periodic checks take over when live transport is unavailable, and a disconnected browser catches up on reconnect before expiry.
Before you start
Do I need an account to create a room?
No. Create a free temporary room in your browser and share its complete secret invite directly.
Can recipients keep copies after expiry?
Yes. Room expiry stops access through Vanish, but it cannot erase screenshots or other copies made by recipients.
