VANISH PRIVATE CHAT GUIDE
No phone number needed for this room
Vanish creates a temporary browser room with a secret invite. No contact directory, profile, or phone number is requested.
Important differences from Signal
Vanish is not a substitute for Signal’s audited protocol, identity controls, and mature messaging features. Vanish has not had an independent security audit and offers no forward secrecy.
For higher-risk communication
Use an established, audited messenger with verified contacts when identity and long-term security matter. A secret link proves possession, not identity.
Before you start
Do I need an account to create a room?
No. Create a free temporary room in your browser and share its complete secret invite directly.
Can recipients keep copies after expiry?
Yes. Room expiry stops access through Vanish, but it cannot erase screenshots or other copies made by recipients.
