VANISH PRIVATE CHAT GUIDE
When a temporary chat room fits
Temporary rooms work best for brief conversations that do not need a lasting account or archive.
Useful situations
Examples include coordinating a meetup, sharing a short-lived instruction, discussing a surprise, or opening a temporary project conversation.
When not to use it
Do not rely on an expiring room for emergencies, legal notices, medical records, financial instructions, workplace reporting, or anything requiring a durable audit trail.
Choose an expiry
Use five minutes for a quick exchange, one hour for coordination, 24 hours for a day, or seven days for a short project.
Choose based on consequences
Ask whether you trust the recipient and delivery channel, need a permanent record, or require verified identity. Avoid temporary rooms for emergencies, legal notices, medical records, financial authorization, or regulated reporting.
Before you start
Do I need an account to create a room?
No. Create a free temporary room in your browser and share its complete secret invite directly.
Can recipients keep copies after expiry?
Yes. Room expiry stops access through Vanish, but it cannot erase screenshots or other copies made by recipients.
